Songs and Scores
For a composer, there is nothing more satisfying than to see people respond favourably to the music you have created. It is especially true when the people are children, and the school choir you are working with – having been given a free choice -- enthusiastically ask to sing your song.
Whether bright and uplifting or bittersweet and thought-provoking, music should move the emotions. Lyrical themes and colourful harmonies enrich the learning experience of children and promote an interest in the Arts. And when those same children talk excitedly about their experiences performing publicly in a large venue, the importance of the Arts in Education becomes evident to adults.
While music on its own can have a great emotional impact, there is a profound bond when music and imagery are combined. Whether brash or subtle, music adds emotional depth to a film score and lets the viewer immerse themselves in another world. Because of our ever-increasing use of multi-media, we recently formed NIAGARA STUDIOS, a small production company based in Canada, to promote our music video and film projects.
